Every month, as Copy Editors for Backcountry.com, we publish a monthly email newsletter that comments on gear, trips, and trends in the outdoor industry. Over the years we hope it has given our readers some unique insight into the world of the outdoors.
But there’s always been one looming problem: after each issue, our work would disappear into the Internet ether. There has never been a way to search through articles, read more, rate or comment.
So we took matters into our own hands.
The Backcountry Beacon finally gives these meticulously researched articles, gear tests, and gear reviews a home. It also serves as a jumping point to the buying guides and how-to guides we have created over the past few years.
By taking the articles off Backcountry.com and the Goat Blog, we hope to provide a better, more objective source for our long-form content.
